OT: Server Problems ** Affecting Orders

Hi y'all,

 

I mentioned the other day that my server in Turkey was supposed to come on line

Monday morning .. well .. it didn't. So after a few phone calls today I was

able to

access the server's Post Office by using another system .. a new one to me ..

This URL showed me that I had a total of 1,000 messages in the Post Office ..

and it

cut off yesterday .. meaning my server in Turkey stopped storing messages when

it

reached 1,000 .. so I can't be sure how many it bounced or ate.

 

Meantime .. the above URL will allow me access to the server's Post Office and

I'm

into deleting the Spam now (around 85% of my mail is Spam) but its slower than

molasses in January. I have it down to around 400 now and it takes around 6 or

7

minutes to delete 20 emails .. If I go faster than that and it times out on me.

 

They say the server will be back up this week ... but. ;-p The point of this

email is to advise y'all of the following:

 

1. I see a number or Orders in the Post Office .. and a number of other posts

to me

... but I can't pull them up right now. I can see the subject line and who the

sender

is .. but when I try to pull one up it times out on me. I will continue to work

with

this tonight .. maybe I can make it right after I've dumped all the Spam from

the

Post Office.

 

2. If I can't pull them up tonight .. I will write emails to those I can

identify

and ask them to resend their post/order/whatever to the e-mail address I am

using now

... in Maryland (the one at the beginning on this post.)

 

3. Meantime .. we are trying to change the Shopping Cart so it temporarily goes

to

Appalachian Valley Natural Products <AnatolianTreasures instead of to

Butch Owen <ButchBsi

 

4. So .. if you made an order and have not heard from me .. now you know why ..

and

you can resend it if you want. I'll continue to try to pull up the data I can

see in

the Post Office .. and like I said, if I can't do it .. I'll let folks know and

request they resend to the address I'm using now .. which I hope is temporary.
