OT: Howdy Y'all

Hi y'all,

 

I made it to Maryland last weekend and have been busting butt since then .. my

employees moved the company to two new stores on the main street the first week

of

June and there is still much to do .. like knocking out the back wall of the

second

store and installing two windows .. but finding someone to do such work now is

not

easy as it appears all the carpenters in this area are fully employed now.

 

Gotta put up a few walls .. get the new sign hung over the door and beside the

building .. and a few other things to make life easier. The town has my sign

posted

on the big Welcome sign at the entrance to town .. along with the other

businesses ..

not that many of them fer'shur.

 

Had to deal with town council folks and my landlord and accountant this week ..

and

hired a new bookkeeper Friday .. a lady who has been in that line of work for

ten

years now .. it'll make life easier for all concerned .. particularly for me.

 

Friendsville has had LOTS of rain this year .. its green, green, green .. humid,

humid, humid. Zillions of trees on the mountains surrounding this valley and

its

nothing less than beautiful here. The whitewater river is prime now .. folks

have

been on it all day with their rafts, etc. Took at ride up through the mountains

before dusk today and saw lots of deer and turkey .. was looking for a bear but

I

have not seen one here in all the trips I've made .. there are many around here

but

they are careful to not be seen.

 

My furnished apartment is next door to the stores .. the bank is across the

street

and the post office is behind the stores .. grocery store one block away and

right

beside the river .. maybe 100 yards from the stores .. and a trout stream maybe

500

yards up the street from the stores .. everything is within walking distance.

 

Even with all the work that had to be done this week I was able to relax more

than I

have in a long time .. its quiet here .. might be boring for some and might yet

become so for me but for now its nice. I spent yesterday morning having a few

cups

of coffee on the balcony and watching two big spiders weaving their webs between

two

posts .. it was very relaxing. ;-p

 

I don't miss Turkey yet .. might not this time. First trip I've ever taken from

there with a one-way ticket. Just not sure when I am going back.

 

Anyway .. wanted to holler howdy at y'all. Gotta few emails yet to reply to ..

I

have not been able to get into my Turkish server's post office for a couple of

days

as its supposed to be down for maintainence and improvement till Monday morning

...

odds are they let that big virus bite them in the butt. ;-) Those posts that

have

have gone to Butch Owen <ButchBsi are the ones I can't get to

now.

working my way through .. there are a few more I need to reply to and that will

happen tomorrow .. right now I'm gonna head to the barn and switch on the

Channel .. haven't watched anything but thatchannel since I've been here and it

Sounds a little like heaven. LOL

Its good to be able to relax. Yes the history cahnnel is great.

I watch the Animal Planet on weekends. Have seen several things we are learning

in school on there.
