Guest guest
I Rebecca and all you wonderful people. I'm an Iowan and live just 20 miles from the Minnesota border. I had been having problems with the sciatic nerve and was doctoring with a chiropractor and it seemed to settle down. But-----I was babysitting my two grandsons of which the youngest was only 6 mo. old and when I went to lift him out of the crib, I heard a pop. I ended up with a ruptured disk. There was also a spur on one of the vertebrae which the surgeon removed. The problem--he took too much bone and my back fractured after the first surgery. He wouldn't listen when I told him something was wrong. That is when I sought another doctor who performed two more surgeries. I get along pretty good now--just have to quit thinking I am some young chick that can keep on doing anything and everything she wants to. My old saying, " I can't turn back the clock, but I can sure wind it up again!!!!!! Just takes a little (lot) more winding now. LOL Thanks for the info and for caring. Blessings and love, Effie >Effie, > >RE: your back problem and nerve pain: were you in an accident? Is that >why you had to have back surgery? Guest guest
Hi Effie, I'm glad you are 'getting along' as you say. No, we can't turn the clock back! Here's what I have to say about aging: It takes more and more to maintain less and less. Depressing, but funny, I think! Rebecca
Guest guest
That's a good one, Rebecca. And yes, it is less and less.
