Guest guest
Debra and Chris, Thank you so much for sending that information on these oils, and also, to Butch for posting that very enlightening explanation of why they are not safe. Especially right now, I have been using the wintergreen formula often for a painful back condition, (lumbago, if anyone remembers that term). I just hope that I have not taken enough in my system to cause any permanent liver damage. I also have a bottle of birch oil I have not opened yet that will all have to be thrown out. Expensive but grateful lesson. This made me think of Vick's Vaporub, and what is in it, but the label just says menthol, camphor and eucalyptus oil. I have a pound each of menthol crystals and granulated camphor, but since it's been awhile, I forget what I ordered the menthol for, so I'm not sure now how to use it now. I did make a camphorated oil. I always remember the doctor telling me to use it on the babies for chest congestion, as it was not as strong as Vick's, so I don't know if it will help the back as much. But I guess I'm getting OT. Thanks again, Sandra
