Guest guest
Butch, The anecdotal part was the change in scent after the Rose Otto froze, not that pure rose otto will freeze at fairly high temperatures. It never smelled as good, there could be a scientific explanation as when things crystallize, they often form new chemicals. I.E., when you take ocean salt water, dry it out, add pure water. It is NOT the same chemicals as it was before evaporating. Because as the salinity changes, it forms new and different chemicals. Now, it is not safe for me to assume that rose otto would do the same thing, as I don't know as much about rose otto's chemistry. Let's not forget that graphite and diamonds are nearly the same crystals. Both are pure carbon © both have 4 bond per carbon; it's just that the crystalline structure is slightly different. But anyone could easily tell the difference. With grainy shea butter, or chocolate with spots. It's crystallizing. Crystals are usually pretty sturdy molecules, compared to the non crystal stuff, that's why they don't taste or feel the same. My Rose Otto didn't smell the same as before I froze it slushy. Sorry, but that's my perception. I would assume it's possible the freezing may have changed the chemical structure. But that's my GUESS. Odds are you don't leave your EOs out in the room .. if they are even in a cabinet or drawer it might surprise you that the temperature is much lower there. Best I can remember .. Uncle Sam had rules in government offices that winter temperatures were to be kept at 68 degrees. Maybe I am dreaming .. but I think the slick folks figured that to be the best temperature for the health for folks in a working area. > Guess I'll find out whether mine is adulterated or not. ;^P (I know > it's not . . . I got it from Butch!) > rox Thankee m'am for the confidence .. and I am always willing to bet all I can scrape up that what you say is true. In fact, when we sell an oil we are already betting our reputation whether we think of it or not. So .. y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch http://www.AV-AT.com
