Guest guest
Yo Carol, > Hi, Butch... > > >But are the oils you are ordering Origin Canada? Important question. > > Hi, no they are imported, but aren't most, lol? Yep .. but sometimes a question has more impact than a statement. ;-p > Another reason I deal with these companies, is that I get wholesale > prices ( anyway, they tell me I do, LOL), for being a student of > Aromatherapy. Mebbe they are wholesale .. but whatever they're called its the numbers that really matter. Folks outside the Continental USA get wholesale from me (includes Hawaii and Alaska) but folks inside the 48 states must be resellers of goods or services. This is pure logic as it helps them in paying the shipping costs. Plus my wholesale customers would tar and feather me if I gave the same prices to end users. ;-p But again .. I say you should buy the most quality you can for the money and if it is in Canada .. then go for it. > >It seems that US Postal for some reason more often than not bypasses > >the dudes with their hands out but the Special Carriers .. like > >FedEx and UPS and such make sure they stop off there. > > No kidding, I recived $20 of free software, paid $5 for shipping, > arrived via UPS with a hefty $46 fee, I couldn't believe it. I refused > to accept it. I will not use any company that lists UPS or Fedex to > Canada for that reason. First .. what is all that software humma-humma? Is that like they are giving Green Stamps and such? ;-p Secondly .. the seller should have made it clear what you costs were going to be afore it was shipped. Nothing ruins a sellers day more than a buyer not accepting a shipment. Finally .. don't be hasty on deciding which carrier is the cheapest. When we get ANY international order we go back to the buyer with three prices for shipping and they choose .. one is US Postal Air, one is US Postal Surface and the other is FedEx International. And lemme tell you that on some orders FedEx International is the cheapest. Not likely it would be with your orders as you are not a reseller .. but there is one buyer in Western Canada that is about to get 160 + kilos total from me and the cheapest cost of shipping that order was FedEx. And different folks will have different rates with FedEx or UPS or whoever .. depends on how much business they do with them in a month. > >But .. that company might get their oils from me .. > > I sure hope the do!, If you want to open a distributing centre in > Canada, email me... Hawhawhaw .. thankee m'am for the kind words. I get 2-3 requests a month for exclusive distributorship from various countries .. and have them from Canada. Problem is with that I lose control and make all my buyers angry .. and the initial cost to set it up would be sorta out of sight. I say that cause I have calculated it for Taiwan and it scared the britches off all who asked. ;-p > Butch, I find your fees to be excellent, and have no problem with > ordering my Catnip oil from you, and the other things that I can't > find here. Thankee m'am. But its not just me that I was writing for. You might find that Chris Ziegler, or Marge Clark .. or someone else in the USA .. can beat the heck out of a Canadian supplier. If you wanna know just give'em a Straw Man order and ask them what the total cost would be. There's mo commiting to sure an inquiry .. and it will give you an idea of what the REAL final costs are for an order. > I find the bulkier the order the more I'm gonna swear at the post > office when it gets here... > Carol....:-) Canadian Postal Services are not bad .. especially comparing them with many of the other countries. Of course, for international orders the volume of an order is as significant as the weight. Daily I go back to an international buyer and tell them that their request for one each 800 gram jar of Rose Petal Jam is just not economically wise .. they will pay more for shipping than the jam costs. But if they buy 12 jars they will find it a heckuva lot cheaper .. per jar. Creative International Shipping is an art .. really it is. Two points that wrap into one .. I was just notified that my apartment in Friendsville will be available the first Friday in August so I am now jumping through my butt to get the necessary and unnecessary crap done to get out of here. And that includes doing one of the biggest exports I have ever done to my US company.. over four metric tons .. but not all for me. I have written to a number of routine large buyers in the USA and offered them Turkish origin oils at real savings IF they allow me to ship them with this export. Fixed costs for export are the same .. be it one kilo or 1,000 metric tons. The more I ship the cheaper the per kilo rate is so I am offering some of the larger buyers some dang good prices. That's what its really all about .. getting the most bang for the buck or rubble for the ruble. As for my apartment in Friendsville .. I got the better one .. three rooms .. modern kitchen/dining room, super nice big bedroom with a big living room with satilite TV. And it is right beside our store. Gonna pay for two months up front with an option to extend cause I might just decide that I wanna hang around the USA a bit. I won't be in town more than 1/3 of the time but I need a place to come back to when I drag my tired butt in at midnight or so some night. I am excited about this trip cause its the very first I have made where I had the mission of finding me a home. :-) And .. Chris has convinced me that my Lap Top will work pretty well in the USA now .. works like crap here for pulling down email. So I will be on the air the whole time .. most likely. Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch http://www.AV-AT.com PS: For my Aussie friends .. feller came by today and gave me a second ostrich egg .. big muther it is .. the size of a small foot ball. Has pin holes in both ends where they blew out the inside .. but I like it a lot. Y'all got some crazy critters in your neck of the woods. ;-p
