> Hi Chris,

Hi Buffy,

> I sincerely hope you are looking at the bright side of having to

move

from Denver (and maybe you were somewhat affected by our current heat

wave?)as I was a bit offended by some of your statements about our

fair city.

Oh, please don't be. I'm just a crotchety old hard to satisfy New Yawkuh

by nature ;) Denver has its very good points, and a few little bad

points. I am just hoping some of the things that are the little bad

points to me here will be good points in Houston ;) Every place has its

plusses and minuses.

And the heat wave isn't too bad - I remember heat waves on the east

coast, with all that humidity .... those were worse for sure IMHO. Hazy,

hot and HUMID is one of things I am not looking forward to in the

future. While the humidity of TX will be good for my plants, it won't be

good for my comfort levels in the summer *LOL*

> All I will say is that I liked Denver better when it was a cow town

I don't blame ya! Back then y'all had to deal with less traffic and had

a lower average cost of living, but still had the best feature of all ..

the breathtaking Rocky Mountains just a hop skip and a jump away to the

west.

> and I wouldn't trade it for any other city in the USA. Having been

raised as a military brat, I saw a fair amount of the country as a

youngster, but Denver is where my heart and home is.

I liked Denver so much when I moved here that I convinced a few friends

and family members to relocate here too! It is a nice place in many

respects. Its gotten too expensive over the years I've been here, but it

is still a very nice place.

> Wishing you all the best in your new home.

Thanks! Being that my first son's father lives here still (and my

mother) and the little guy is too young to travel alone, I will be

visiting the Denver area a lot with the boy (and I'll without a doubt

use the time during my winter visits to get my snowboarding fix in).

> I enjoy this list that you started. There are so many knowledgeable

people here who contribute a wealth of information. Thanks.

Thank you for the kind words Buffy, and I am sorry if you felt I was a

little harsh on Denver :)
