OT: Hot Time in Friendsville

 

 

Hey y'all,

 

Those of you who are close enough (there are many) or those who might be

traveling through the area .. might wanna consider stopping off in the

big town of Friendsville, MD (population 597) on Saturday, 19 July.

 

That's when the 39th Old Time Fiddler's Contest is going down. Typical

Appalachian foot stompin' music. There will be yard sales and other

special activities throughout the town .. and Appalachian Valley Natural

Products will be open all day. We are now on the Main Street of the

town .. danged hard to miss us. ;-p

 

And .. on Friday and Saturday (8 & 9 August) another celebration is

going down .. Friendsville Days .. this one is over 100 years old. I

expect to be there for that one.
