Sandra,

I was mostly cautioning against using the oil neat. As far as I know their are

NO studies on the effects of Tea Tree and Rabbits. So gathered antidotal

evidence is all we have. I was not trying to imply that you are evil or an

uncaring bunny parent cause you did that. (Hey, you got rid of those awful

nasty mites!)

Rabbits are rather sturdy little critters, but if they get off balance (like if

you give them antibiotics and kill their intestinal fauna) they sometimes don't

recover. (Sort of like a motorcycle at 100mph, they go forward well just fine,

but crash and you will not be so well.)

From the Jersey Woolly Handbook:

" Broad spectrum antibiotics not only kill harmful bacteria, they also kill

beneficial ones as well,... ...MAKING their rabbit stressed and vulnerable. "

Glad the tea tree cured the ear mites, glad the bunny is doing good.

I will gladly admit I don't know everything; I will add your story to the

collection of info I have. If you need to do it again, I would strongly urge

you to dilute the tea tree in the carrier of your choice - no need to stress

little bunny more than necessary, and dilute tee tree say 5% is still very

effective. (That's just a guess (5%) not a recommendation.)

Thanks for sharing!

David I didn`t think you was putting me down I just thought you cared.I`m so

sorry if I gave you this impression and just for the record I can`t remember the

last time I took a antibiotic let alone give it to my animals {:>

Thank you for caring about my feelings
