Guest guest
Hey David, It was after 2 in the morning when you wrote this so I will clarify something you meant to say afore it makes folks nuts. ;-p > Did you know some distillers actually dry the eo after they make it to > make sure their isn't any mosture in there? Dried aromatic material he meant to write .. in fact, its better cause of the lack of water .. and more economic cause it costs the same for labor and energy to run a still regardless of how much aromatic material is in the still. And you can put more in the still when its dry. The above applies to steam-distillation ONLY .. can't do it for those aromatics that are hydrodistilled .. like Rose Blossoms. They must be fresh. In fact, in the few hours Rose Blossoms are waiting for their time in the pot folks are turning them with wooden forks on a concrete floor .. need to keep them from getting warm and fermenting. > FWIW, > David Roman Y'all keep smiling, Butch http://www.AV-AT.com
