I studied my Tai Chi at the Bowery Study Group in the mid to late 80's. I

believe Rene was the woman who tried to keep the little group together. Stanley

then took over and I had to move on. I have heard that Stanley has died (not a

big surprise) but also heard that Don has passed on (rumor). I don't know if

these names mean anything to you old-timers. ;-)

Valerian's flowering clusters are a heady sweetness bordering on cloying.

 

Most growers let the plant grow several years before harvesting the the

roots. Best done in the early Fall.
