Guest guest
http://nativetech.org/food/ And I can't wait to try the Staghorn Sumac Tea...It's my third year living here and I'm getting bolder about trying the wild edibles. But for now I am a vegetarian for the most part. Guess I could get back into the swing of meat eating if I got real hungry...the Native American Indians did eat mucho meat, most of them and nothing went to waste. I found what appears to be a skin tanning tool, here outside the cabin. Don't know how old it is...but seems very old. Jackie identified it...I had it sitting on the floor as " an interesting rock " , when she visited me in the spring. Diana of Dewberry Hill (an Okie pioneer) SBC DSL - Now only $29.95 per month! Guest guest
Diana, This is a interesting site. My friend is half Apache. She wouldn't tell me for years. She was ashamed of not being Native American, but being Apache. I told her for years to be proud, it didn't matter which one she was. She is the best cook, I know it comes from the Apache, she is also half Spanish. He father was from Spain. She can take what we would think of as nothing, and make a meal that taste wonderful. Thanks Nancy http://nativetech.org/food/ scents1
Guest guest
Nancy, no one should be ashamed of their heritage, each has something good to offer. And I think each Indian tribe has much to offer. That's great that your friend is so resourceful in the kitchen. Wish we could take lessons. Diana of DH Diana, This is a interesting site. My friend is half Apache. She wouldn't tell me for years.
