Hey Jackie,

 

I don't know what response you got when joining .. I must have missed

that one .. sometimes I don't get some of the posts. But telling who we

are is not likely to direct the dialogue .. asking direct questions will

do it though.

 

The name of the list is Oils & Herbs and the last couple of days it has

been more on Herbs than Oils .. but if you have any particular questions

on oils .. safe use of oils, traditional use of oils, contraindications,

dilution percentages, irritation, sensitization, photosensitization,

toxicity, or this and that directly pertaining to distillation or

whatever .. ask and you will get answers.

 

If you want a bunch of posts on various oils then lemme know how many

megs you can hold in your In Box and I'll flood it .. off line. Or ..

you can purchase a set of Monographs on the plants and oils .. cheap.

 

I know of NO LIST that discusses more on essential oils than does this

one .. AND .. ATFE .. but lately, we have discussed a

lot of non-oil and non-herb subjects on that one too.

 

If you want only herbs and such then there is a list for that too .. its

wiseweeds

 

As for distilling your own oils .. its big time fun and you will enjoy

it for sure .. but you will be limited in that most of the aromatic

plants from which we produce essential oils are not found growing wild

nor can they be effectively cultivated in the USA.

 

I reckon there is no list around that is boring enough to stick to one

subject all the time .. it would lose the members soon cause its not

possible to please hundreds of folks .. and as much as I am into the

subject of essential oils it would bore me to have to discuss only that

subject .. just like eating the same breakfast every day would bore me.
