Back From The Rose Fields of Isparta

Hi y'all,

 

Just got back from the Rose Fields of Isparta a few hours ago. Nice but

tiring trip .. took lotsa great photos. Made a side trip to a mountain

village where an old feller and his two sons still distill Rose Otto in

the manner it was done many hundreds of years ago .. quite an operation.

 

Rose Otto will be higher this year and I was able to acquire ONLY 1,200

kilograms (roughly 150 gallons) of Rose Hydrosol .. last year I was able

to acquire 3,000 kilos. There will be no more this year! This has been

a long time in coming. As is the case with many natural products .. the

days of cheap Rose Otto and Rose Hydrosol are now history.

 

I'll write up the trip later.
