Guest guest
Hey Michele, > Hi Again Butch……. > WOW!! I don't know what to say………..Thank you!! You are so full of > info. I have wondered for years about the tea and you just came > along and gave me dang near a whole book on it…….WOW!! I'm impressed > and you have my attention now…LOL! Welcome you are .. no matter what subject comes up somebody is gonna know something about it. :-) > I would love to infuse this in my soaps and salves for it's anti- > inflammatory properties. I know my mother- in- law gets it fresh > from the mountains and sent it to us for colds and chest infections > specifically. I will research it more. When and if you get the EO > from it will you please e-mail me. What a special treat for me… > Thanks. Welcome for sure. We keep a bit of it around usually .. just for tea. I can't count on distilling it though as it would take a minimum of 500 kilos of aromatic material for one distillation .. that's a good layout of cash if one isn't sure of a market for the oil. John knew all about the properties of the plant but that doesn't necessarily mean the same properties could be found in the oil. > Rose wax is great in soaps, butters, and salves to fix a scent and to > give a scent also. If y'all say so and y'all want it .. I'll have it .. Rose only. > My Zdravetz/Rose soap contains your Rose Hydrosol, Rose wax, Rose > Otto, Zdravetz and a wee bit of this and that…very nice everyday soap. Sounds good. Lots of folks using Hydrosols for soaps now. But one of the BEST soaps I have ever seen .. and I mean EVER seen .. is one Chris made a bunch of .. using Turkish Sage (Salvia fruticosa). It smells nice when you use it and you smell nice for hours after using it. > Claymont, DE…I went to Mt. Pleasant H.S. off of Washington St Ext in > DE. Lived in Rosemont, PA for a wee time (Irish lad I am) and spent > many years in Pennsville, & Woodbury, NJ. You were my neighbor. > Claymont was rough and Marcus Hook (the Hill) is where all the bikers > lived from the steel mill…OK I showing my age here… Claymont was rough .. I was a young sergeant then .. wasn't commissioned for two years after that. And living in the Philly area was too costly for me so I selected Delaware. Worked all kinds of part-time jobs back then .. and was working as a meat cutter one night when someone came in and told me some dudes were stripping my car outside. Went out and saw a car with a Maltese Cross on it .. they had my 60 Galaxie jacked up and were removing tires .. one dude had cut the battery cable and removed the battery. I asked what they were doing and it was like they were in slow motion .. obviously high. One dude reached under the seat of their car and pulled out a sawed off shotgun. So I decided to leave and they said nothing .. just kept working on the car. To make a long story short (cause there was a good bit more to it) the cops came and caught them .. twas a weird night. > Sushi Pizza…..nnnnaawww not me I like traditional pizza with sauce, > cheese and regular dough. I do like some sushi though. Are dough is > made fresh everyday and raised three times before we add sauce and > toppings. It is a light, crispy, pan pizza. Come have some when you > come home and come over to the Eastern Shore to find a new home..hint > hint. We have lots of land down this way. Very peaceful and lots of > water…LOL! Thanks for the invite and I might just show up with a hunger and my tacklebox and fishing rod. I love the Blue Tip Crabs. > Well..I will be looking for you in late July….with the rose wax, rose > hydrosol and of course, you're famous Rose Otto and maybe the > Sideritis EO??? Keep us up to date. Thanks again for the Tea info… > still cannot believe that. Mountain Tea heh? Welcome you are fer'shur. In this part of the world anything that can be made into a tea is often called tea. The Turkish word for the MANY varieties of Sage growing here is Ada Cayi (Island Tea). > ~Peace~ > Michele Seretis > www.thesoapgardenboutique.com And to you .. and keep smiling. :-) Butch http://www.AV-AT.com
