Hi (sorry to keep asking so much)

With hydrosols do you need to keep them in glass or can they be kept

in plastic, and is this affected when you had your own oils?

Also which (in your opinion) is a good water to start with in terms

of uses of the addition of other EO's? i thought lavender would be a

good one for blending with other EO's??

Vivki,

I think Hydrosols can be kept in plastic, but I recommend you keep them in the

fridge. (I do both, plastic and in the fridge.)

For the most part they don't have the anti-fugal anti-bacteria qualities of the

oils. (Think of tea sitting on the counter for a few days, yuck!) But they

MIGHT have the anti viral qualities they oils don’t seem to have. (In studies.)

I had some nice chocolate peppermint hydrosol (from the peppermint plant variety

chocolate mint.) but it started so smell off after about 6-8 months or so in the

fridge.

I like Lavender a lot, Roman Chamomile is nice too, and there’s Tea Tree, and

always Rose. (I’ve even got a few ‘funky’ ones like Ginger, Frankincense and

Fir.)

Anyway, it’s the old ‘oil and water’ don’t mix thing, so no oils really going to

mix all that well in water.

Smiles,

David Roman

Chris, are you moving again!? You are never still, LOL! I wanted to tell

you about a hosting company that we don't use yet, but we probably will when

our current contract runs out. It is www.elori.com, and Lori is a wonderful

lady local to me, a fellow soaper whose web hosting company caters

especially to soapers. The prices are very cheap and you get lots of disk

space, etc., free cart . . . check it out! :-)
