Thank you everyone for the well wishes and suggestions regarding my

throat :)

It really hasn't been my year regarding colds! Sheesh!

I liked Kathleen's suggestions ;) .. but alas I decided against the

lye and oregano gargle and went with something almost as bad!

I had two gargle concoctions - one was vinegar and honey and wowie

zowie, while that may have killed anything living in my throat it

nearly killed me too *LOL* Just imagine inhaling deeply over a pot of

boiling vinegar!

The other gargle was a blend of oregano hydrosol, rosemary hydrosol,

tea tree hydrosol, and salt water.

I also used Michelle's idea for propolis spray.

I don't know which helped most, but my throat is feeling much better

now, but when I yawn I can still feel it a bit ...

In plain English - getting sick sux!

*Smile*

Darn, I missed the posts (overwhelmed with emails) about you and

tonsillitis. Here I go again with Chinese remedies. They produce a Loquat

syrup that is *wonderful* for sore throats. Kids love it too, and it is

nice tasting and fast-working. Do you have a Chinese herb shop near you?

They also make loquat throat lozenges. Oh, and Thayer's Slippery Elm Bark

lozenges! Magical stuff. Most health food stores have it. Soothes the

flamin' Sahara, I swear!

We're going to have to work on your immune system, Missy, get you able to

resist those germs. Y'know -- 'an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of

cure.'
