Guest guest
Hi Dee! Yes I know, at first I was thinking it had to be the cream since was around my eyes, but then I started thinking about everything else I came into contact with that could have & most likely aggravated it & made it worse so have no idea what made it this bad. Yep am just gonna stay away from as much as possible til it goes away. which stinks because I have people who want incense & smelly jellies & soap & can't do anything. I have never had allergies to anything before so am clueless. I didn't even think about using it around my eyes, I knew I didn't want to use fo's on my face, I was out of my unscented lotion & figured I would give it a try ....I had used it once or twice before on my face before my daughter hid it. It didn't burn then. But now I am thinking about it I have had really red cheeks on a few occasions ....but I don't think it was after using the cream....maybe after using the lavender/tea tree lotion but I can't remember now if I had used anything when it happened or not. I don't use eo's very much because I don't know enough about them yet & I can't afford most of them anyway. I have only used patchouli, the lavender 40/42, very small amounts of tea tree, peppermint & rosemary & i have some eucalyptus, vetiver & a bug off blend I just got but that's it & haven't used the last ones at all (eucalyptus, vetiver or bug off) Well, it's not getting warm here yet we are still raining constantly.....i think it rained 23 days out of 27 for a while there, it has been in the 50's mostly .....today we did hit the 70's which is almost 20 degrees below normal so I'm ok for now. My cheeks are starting to clear up some...still a little blotchy & burning/tingly, my eyes are still red above them & still tingly & burning...some sniffies came in the mail today & my cheeks started to tingle really bad so i just threw them away. I really hope this all clears up & from now on I'm not using anything around my eyes/face that has anything in it! Thanks Patty >>Speaking of allergic reactions. That is a tough call because there are so many things that could be the things setting off the reaction. Sounds like isolating all the possible things which is what is being done is the best way to go. Waiting until the reactions cool down. I have allergies to some pollens and when the season is in, I pretty much know that my reactions are pollen related. I did have a skin rash once from using too much of one essential oil too often. Once you become allergic to an essential oil you really have to be careful with that oil for a while. Most companies that sell essential oils will tell you that. And they will also tell you to be very careful about using essential oil creams around your eyes. EOs are so strong that they can cause a burning sensation on the skin in creams near your eyes if they are too strong. Anyway It sure isn't much fun to be feeling so itchy and all when the weather is getting warm. But I do know that prednizone works well to help and hopefully things will clear up soon. So glad to be here with the Oils,Herbs,Etc group! Take Care! Dee<<
Guest guest
Yep am just gonna stay away from as much as possible til it goes away. Patty... I have had some breakouts on very tender skin and I have used plain refined Shea butter on it and it took the pain out and cleared it up in a short time. I am not reccomending anything, understand, just wanted to let you know what I do for breakouts. Smiles Neysa
