Guest guest
Hi folks, Just wanted to give a heads up .. I was getting ready to send out the first batch of shipments of the VCO from the co-op and I sent a bunch of folks notices that their co-op coconut oil was shipping yesterday ... but when I got home and was about to bring the boxes I packed up to ship I noticed a container of VCO I had sitting on my counter (not packed in a box for shipping yet) was a wee bit leaky. Seems it was finally hot enough around here yesterday to melt it all and apparently the plastic containers I've got aren't totally water tight - so I decided to put an extra heavy duty seal all the containers (leaking or not) just to be on the safe side and I am happy to say that the problem seems to be fixed ... SO those coconut orders I wanted to ship yesterday will be going out today and tomorrow instead and the next round of shipments will start going out this weekend. I hope to have all of the VCO packed up and out the door by the end of next week *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com

No problemo, Chris, better safe than leaky, eh? As a new mom, you're all into stopping leaks, I'm sure :-) What I want to hear is your description/review of the oil !!! Plus all those who wrote and said they cooked with it need to share recipes, por favor. http://member.newsguy.com/~herblady ©

I forgot to add to my last message -- a friend sent me some of this stuff (she bought it from the manufacturer and paid $22/lb!!) a month ago, before I knew about the co-op. I swear that stuff has the ability to migrate up and out of containers, it has a life of its own. I think when it gets hot it expands and becomes super-thin and active, and just starts an upward climb. Oh, and if you transfer it to jars, get ones with ribbed lids, and opening and closing is a slippery job, LOL. PS I used some on my hands last night before bed, and it is so strong, I smelled it every time I woke up during the night, and there was still scent in the morning. It makes my hands and skin silkier than anything I've every used, and I don't regard myself as havig dry skin, but this stuff rocks! http://member.newsguy.com/~herblady ©

Guest guest
Chris, Good catch. We wouldn't want all of that great oil leaking out. I love the stuff. I will be patiently waiting for mine. *grin* Coconut shrimp huh. Yum!
