Guest guest
I read somewhere, can't remember where, that tea tree oil can help canker sores...so I've tried it a couple times.... I have to say, the last canker sore I had was quite painful and after one application, the pain lessened greatly (don't know whether it actually went away faster, though, as I didn't do the tea tree oil til I was halfway through the sore anyway). Of course, it tasted nasty, and my breath smelled like Pine-Sol...but, I guess there are worse things for your breath to smell like, right? My question would be, how not-good is it to ingest tea tree oil? I mean, obviously one wouldn't want to drink it in large amounts, but one drop no more than twice a day for the few days I might have a canker sore wouldn't be that bad, right? My mom is absolutely convinced I'm going to poison myself. I don't mind poisoning myself, but I'd hate to recommend it to other people if I don't know how bad it may be for them. What do you all think? -Kat
