Guest guest
Hi Jan, > I have several sunflower varieties that I planted. Can I use these > flowers to infuse or is there a special variety only to be used for > infusing? TIA I doubt if there's a Sunflower Seed (Helianthus annus) growing on earth that can't be eaten. I like'em a lot and have snacked on them in many countries .. Americans probably eat less than the rest of the world. I know a bit oabout the three primary oil producing sunflowers .. the American White, the Turkish Black and the highest oil-producer, American Dakota Brown. You can see them here http://www.Bsi-Hq.com/nuts.html But infusing seeds .. I'm wondering if you won't maybe get more oil or more taste after they dry than you would while they are still fresh. Guest guest
I guess I didn't state my question correctly. Once mature and dried, can I infuse the petals of any variety? Will probably eat some of the seeds, too!! butch owen wrote: > > > > I know a bit oabout the three primary oil producing sunflowers .. the > American White, the Turkish Black and the highest oil-producer, American > Dakota Brown.
