Guest guest
I tried popping corn in organic coconut oil from Spectrum. I didn't like it at all. To each his own! I pop mine in extra virgin olive oil. Happy weekend! Guest guest
I use my VCO instead of butter on toast before jam. Yumm. I use it to bake with and I also add some to my smoothies as the oil is very good for you. I love olive oil so much that I'll probably stick to that for non-sweets. I accidently purchased the refined Spectrum coconut oil and couldn't figure out why it didn't smell yummy like the Spectrum unrefined does. Big difference, watch the label carefully. Coconut oil should smell like coconuts. I'd like to buy in bulk someday from the folks on my VCO list: coconut-info/... Diana of Dewberry Hill I tried popping corn in organic coconut oil from Spectrum. I didn't like it at all. To each his own! I pop mine in extra virgin olive oil. Happy weekend! Guest guest
Hi Kathy, The Spectrum brand coconut oil is organic but I believe their coconut oil is refined - I'm not sure if they have a Virgin Coconut Oil too - I've only seen the refined in the store that I worked at years ago and in my local shops, and if it were the refined it'd be a lot different taste than the virgin .. actually it makes all the difference in the world - I don't like to cook with the plain refined coconut oil But popcorn in extra virgin olive oil is SOOOO yummy too!!! :) *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com Kat [katmakiah] Saturday, May 31, 2003 9:33 AM RE: Re: VCO I tried popping corn in organic coconut oil from Spectrum.
