Guest guest
Hey Good Folks, Well we have been discussing the best essential oils for certain problems (surgical scars, achy joints and muscles etc.). My question is: How long do we use the blends we make? Now by that some people I know would use them for weeks on end even if they are not in pain because they think the blend only eases the pain and does not help end the pain. For myself and those I make blends for I have told them to stop using it after it feels better, normally 3-5 days but never more than 3 weeks. Because I have never read anywhere nor seen a discussion anywhere on length of usage I have been following the homeopathic method of no more than 3 weeks and then don't use anything or if the problem persists see your doctor for re-evaluation and then try a totally different blend. What do all of you think? TIA, ===== Cheryl Smith A Heavenly Body 204 Muldoon Road Anchorage AK 99504 The New Search - Faster. Easier. Bingo. http://search. Guest guest
Hi Cheryl I use the 4 day on, 4 day off method. If it's something that I need to use long term for a particular " condition " such as excema, I'll make up a couple with totally different oils and do the old switcheroo... Hope that helps! Cheers! Guest guest
I've read, and it makes sense.....if you are to use a blend for a long duration, such as a scar blend......then it is best to take " breaks " from the oils for several days to allow the liver time to " catch up " . I use oils in " mature skin " blends for my 45-yr-old mature skin ...........I have a couple different blends that I rotate, so I'm not using the same oils for more than a few days at a time.
