Guest guest Posted March 30, 2003 Report Share Posted March 30, 2003 Hi y'all~ I am still on the road but currently in NC. I took over 200 pictures while at Ft Stewart. When I get home I will compose a link for those who are interested of pictures and captions. Had the opportunity to talk with many wonderful men and women from Regular Army Commanders to called up Reservist. Everyday security on the base became tighter. Perhaps it was taking dozen of homemade cookies for the Mp's or just my usual crazy self but it was an pleasure to hear from these folks their life stories. Ft Stewart has been having appoximately 100 new folks report each week that number is expected to grow to 1,000 shortly. I suppose because I am so much older than most of the enlisted folks, boy is that hard to write, lol I found them helpful, friendly, polite, kind and tough. We heard many differing opinions about politic and the war, but we never saw any one give less than 100% of their energy toward their tasks. Pray all is well with y'all and yours. I still have another 7-10 before I am home. Janet, who is enjoying being back in the south where tea is sweet, ham is salt cured and folks speak and wave. God is good and like is grand!
