First -in Swedsih they call it " Tistel olja " and I had no clue on

the English name for it, except that I thought it was Thistel. When

another US friend (not Margaret) still didn't know what I was

menaing, I sayed - " like Sctolands national flower " . LOL, but in the

end, was I truly wrong here..

I checked my bottle and it realy says " Carthamus tinctorius " and that

the Swedish name can be Safflower (same in English) or Thistel. Boy,

most of the time use the latin instead (like Butch tells us ;-D) to

avoid any confusion.

I like it, whatever name it has, and it works very well in face

serums, creams etc. when you want them to be quickly absorbed.

I am not so sure you are wrong here. If there are companies selling thistle

oil with the name Carthamus tinctorius then it would leave you to believe

that it is indeed what it says. Did that make sense? hehe

I think I may just need to order some! Thistle or Safflower as long as I

use the latin name on the label I'll be safe lol.

Hugs,

Margaret
