Well, in my reference books - and that's 4 I've looked in so far!, Carthamus

Tinctorius is Safflower! The only simillarity between the thistle and the

safflower is that they are all from the same Family - Compositae - like the

daisies and the sunflower etc

 

I've also looked in Aromantic's product list and as you say, it's called Thistle

oil. I have to say I think they're wrong. They are actually a Scottish

company, not far from me and I think I shall be emailing them about it!!!

I'll let you know. - This is the way to learn isn't it! I'm certainly

finding out things I didn't know.

I had looked it up too. I wonder if maybe it is an infused oil??? I

suppose that could be it.

You are sure right! I will look forward to what they have to say about it.

And thanks for taking the time to get involved in this, kinda like a mystery

to solve :)
