The national flower of Scotland is the thistle. It is also the Scottish emblem

and the Scottish motto - roughly translated from Latin - is " no-one touches me

and gets away with it " - think treading on a thistle!! - (A prickly bunch :)

However, there are two other flowers that are associated with Scotland - heather

and harebell (a tiny dainty bluebell type of plant). I'm not aware of any oil

that comes from the thistle. Heather would be the next flower most identified

with Scotland and I've heard of a Heather fragrance oil but not anything else.

Excuse my ignorance - what is Ylva?

Regards

Ann

Hi,

I was hoping Ann (or anyone else) would be able to tell me what the national

flower is in Scotland. Ylva uses the oil from it and didn't know the

translation.

Help??

Thanks,

Margaret

I think I have to go and look up the latin name on the bottle, so

all can be clear whatever oil I mean :-D

But - it's very good for mature skin, I sure need it LOL.

Thank you Ann for the information.

Sorry about that. I just assumed you would have recognized her name from

posting on the list. I should have said my friend Ylva (in Sweden)uses the

oil. Oops.

Thanks again,

Margaret

Yes, I should have known - often I read messages and don't recognise names or

read them properly. As you say - oops!
