Guest guest
Hi Sandi, Kathleen, other good folks .. > Kathleen, > > Candles lit and prayers sent for a safe return for your family members. > > Thanks. These are some of Southern Utah and Southern Nevada's best > (in my opinion) law enforcement and Fire Fighters. Good show. We have outstanding Reserve and National Guard units in the Round Out Forces. Especially .. my prejudice ;-p .. civilian police who serve in Reserve/National Guard roles as Military Police .. and are trained to perform only war time missions because we can't logically man their functions during peacetime .. i.e, Enemy POW Camps, refugee, displaced persons, straggler control. These battalions and brigades will fall in on active duty units and become major support forces. > They are all truly honored to be serving our country. Damn betcha .. :-) I was always highly impressed by the dedication and level of professionalism of the Officers and NCOs I worked with in the Reserve, National Guard and Active Guard-Reserve. I know many who have been called up .. along with Psychological Operations and Civil-Military Operations units .. they are proud to serve!! There are certain legal requirements that must be fulfilled under the provisions of the 1949 Geneva Conventions .. the US began to create command structure for this months ago. The majority of the requirements are handled by Citizen Soldiers because (1) they are not needed in peace time and (2) the level of education and training and more importantly, experience required can't be gained via peace time military training. > > For everyone's family members. > > You said it all right here. May they all have the powers of whom > ever or what ever they believe in to watch, and protect them. Sandi Right on .. and may the powers speak to those who are our enemy .. a soldier is a soldier is a soldier IF they're honorable soldiers. Iraqi soldiers are abused and from what I've been able to gather, dispirited. Nothing would make me smile more than to see them turn on the monster and save their own lives and their families from grief. I will not be surprised to see this. I have been impressed by Jack Straw for some time .. tonight his speech to the House of Commons was well worth hearing. His point I will dwell on is that Saddam is the ONLY Moslem who has killed over one million Moslems and who has attacked two independent Moslem countries. This is not the way to win the hearts and minds of your soldiers. Y'all keep smiling, Butch
