Hi, I'm new here. Been researching Four Thieves Vinegar anti-plague remedy

(centuries old). I have several recipes and want to know what your favorite one

is. Some say infuse in the sun two weeks and then add garlic for a week...some

say cold infuse. One available to purchase in England, says they use only

mycelium vinegar and that the recipe is not as good without it. Sooo....anyone?

If I don't get some good feedback here, I'll whet yer whistle with some

websites. Four Thieves Vinegar: most recipes are for external only use as a

disinfectant room spray or to breathe through a hanky or dust mask when in germ

infested areas.

Hi, C-M,

Thanks for the recipe! I am going to try it. One question, do you

refrigerate the vinegar or otherwise preserve it? I made up a batch from a

similar recipe a year or so ago (I think this recipe also had Rue), it was great

for awhile but it spoiled.

Thanks!

I do not refrigerate it and yes, Rue is included in some recipes.

I've never had my vinegar go bad, could be that the acidity of the AC

was not high enough for it to spoil. Standard grocery AC vinegar has the

right acidity. A half a gallon lasts me for about a year, so I usually

make it fresh every year.

BTW, I also used the 4 thieves vinegar with great success when school

had an epidemic of head lice. Kept a bottle in the shower for a hair

rinse. It does make a great hair rinse even if there is no threat of lice.
