Guest guest
I wanted to take a few minutes to tell y'all how much this list means to me. I have learned a great deal from you. Goes to show an old crone can learn new tricks (things) LOL. One of the things that I have enjoyed is we have been able to cuss and discuss all kinds of life things. In many ways it feels like an extended family. As in most families we do not always agree. We are not all passionate about the same things at the same time. Together we have celebrated the birth of children, the burial of various family members and friends, and much of lifes twists and turns along the way. I am grateful that I was able to cry this week as odd as that sounds. It was a long time coming and was an accumulation of many different energies. Like peeling an onion our self healing has many layers and is often triggered when we least expect it. It would hurt to see anyone unsub because of opinions that have been discussed. We have learned much from each other. We come from different cultures, different social economic environments. We come for the joy, education and healing. We share our knowledge and experiences of oils and herbs and do I dare say it etc. I realize I am older than dirt and have seen the fads, culture, and accepted practices change. Y'all know if you have been here long I am not always politically correct. Yet I would not intentionally pick at your beliefs or passions in a hurtful way. I will question. I may challenge but I would defend your right to voice your opinion. I wanted to share this because it illustrated to me a passion and a healing. When I taught Native American culture in Palm Beach Co, I also had the opportunity to study at the knee of Grandma Osceola a wonderful Seminole medicine woman. One day she ask if I would share a pipe with her. Each round of the pipe allows prayers for different requests for healing. During the round for world level healing I prayed for world peace. Later in the day the Grandmother ask if I understood my pray for World Peace could not be brought to fruition as I had stated it. I was very passionate about the words I had chosen, how could there be a wrong way to pray for peace, I could not understand. The grandmother looked into my eyes as though she was looking into my soul and said, " There can not be peace in your world until there is peace in your circle. " Over a cup of sage tea and a smudge of sweetgrass, we talked about the circle. She asked, if I was at peace with myself. Oh all but this piece over here, in this corner of my life...was I at peace with my parents...most the time except my dad really pushed my buttons on these issues... was I at peace with my sibling...my grandparents...aunts... uncles...cousins...friends...neighbors? We broke fry bread, refilled the tea pot and in the soft firelight from the hearth, the grandmother said, " how can you ask the Great Spirit for peace throughout the world when you who he has brought into this small part of the world circle is not at peace. " We make peace with ourselves first and then we make peace with each person in our circle and as out circle grows we find more peace within our world. Keep in mind I am just sharing my experience. In the etheric, I am breaking and sharing some fry bread and passing some sage tea. I am asking us to find the peace within our circle for 7 generations forward and 7 generations back. I just wanted to share a hug and a moment, a blessed day for those who are in this circle. Janet
Guest guest
Thanks for the group hug. I think we all needed it. I haven't taken part in the discussion, but have read bits of it. I think some went past the point of being passionate about the subject. We must all remember what may be perfect for us is not perfect for another even in the best of circumstances. Please realize we are all different and that what make the world so beautiful. Please lay down your swords and daggers and hug one another. All have a wonderful day and spread a smile to someone's heart. Green Blessings Patty Corapi
