However, I believe that nurses properly trained in AP have great possibilities to help hospitalised patients. For example, as well as using the usual procedures of the ward, add Qigong, Tuina/Anmo, Guasha, laser or TENS instead of needling for: Shock, collapse, coma, cardiac arrest: GV26, KI01, PC06, ST36 Anxiety, fear, panic: BL15/44, BL23/52, HT07, Ear Shenmen, BL23, PC06 Inappetance, nausea, vomiting (pre- or post-op): PC06, ST36, CV12, BL21 Urinary retention: BL28/32, CV03, SP06, BL23 Ileus: ST25, ST36, BL25, BL30, CV04, CV06 Wound / suture line problems: " Circling the Dragon " , Local + Distant points, " Immune Pts " , Mu+Shu Pts " Immune Pts " : LI04, LI11, ST36, GV14 etc. See the " Cookbook " for points for other common conditions: http://homepage.eircom.net/~progers/ff.htm Larry, go for it, and the best of luck!
