I have been trying to find a definitive answer for the legal requirements

for acupuncture applied to animals in the states of Oregon and Washington.

Do any of you know what the requirement is, or where to find the actual

requirement guidelines? I have heard it said that one needs to be a

veterinarian to practice acupuncture on animals in WA and OR, but then I

heard there were classes available to acupuncturists (and other health

professionals??) in Seattle (???). I have a friend who is having an LAc

perform acupuncture on her dog is California, and I'm wondering if there are

other relatively acupuncture-friendly states that permit that.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Contact the states acupuncture board and vet boards. This is a legal matter

and they should know.
