Guest guest
I have a patient, female, 20 years old, studying computer engineering, that have, from at least 10 years ago, a syncope syndrome. When she feel stressed or nervous she just faint. First she feel her feet and hands cold, then feel a reduction of her vision and then go off for about 15 minutes. For example the last week she had 2 tests and she faint in both. The pulse is a little weak, but all other signs are good. Any suggestion? Thanks, Fernando Dougnac

Guest guest
Hi all This email caught my attention because I remembered my teacher amending the indications of one formula in Bensky, Wu Mo Yin Zi, which is purportedly for abdominal distention and pain due to clumping of Liver qi. He mentioned that in China it is often used for young, robust persons with Liver Qi Stagnation who experience fainting in stressful situations. The cold hands and feet just prior to fainting could be a sign of severe, sudden qi stagnation and clumping in the interior blocking the dissemination of qi and raising of clear yang. Perhaps a dose before final exams would help. Just thought I'd throw in two cents. Any thoughts?
