can someone suggest a topical application for a chronic rash?

location: retro to L ear on GB and or SJ vessel

nature: dry with some induration. pinkish with some red patches

feel: heated to touch but not very

itching: great intensity worse at night in LV LU time

duration: several years has never really resolved

channel pattern: Shaoyang Heat

5 E pattern: very clearly LU primary aggressing on GB, LU yin xu, GB

yang excess

i am treating with appropriate acupuncture with good results, need some

topical to

help out locally

to my mind the essential quality in this topical would be to balance

heat derived from

a Dry condition

any help will be appreciated

you might try Spring Wind ointment, i use it often for a variety of

things. it is kind of a variation on Shiunko (Lithospermum or Purple

Cloud Ointment) so it is good for dry red rashes... also Shiunko is

commonly used for moxibustion ointment, so this will work for that

as well.
