still wondering about those pregnancy pulses....

I *know* somebody out there knows the answer to this (about attempting to

determine gender through the strength of the pulse on each side), but aside from

one humorous response, I didn't get anything. Even if you don't believe at all

in this, could you humor me? If the pulse is stronger on the right, then.......

IIRC according to Mai Jing, it would be a girl. Not sure it is just " stronger " ,

i seem to

remember urgency/slipperiness... i'd have to dig out the classic. Also from Mai

Jing, Wang

Shuhe recommends sometime after the 4th month the husband should call the wife

as

she's going off to the loo, and if she looks back at him over her right shoulder

the child

will be a girl, or if over the left, a boy.

I was taught that if the pulse is stronger on the right side it is very

likely to be a girl and if it's stronger on the left side it is more

likely to be a boy.

 

I got i right twice and even predicted a birth (a friend's girlfriend)

to take place the next day... and it did. Propabably coincidence on both

gender and birth predictions, but interesting still.

Hi Lisa!

 

I asked about this when I read it in one of the texts in school.

Evidently it is not widely believed today that there is much to it,

probably why you got the humorous response.

I pretty much followed what Wang, Shu He said in Mai Jing.

In the last couple of years, I have correctly predicted all (more than a dozen)

of the cases.

As I see more cases, I just feel one more step closer to miss one:-(

There was one girl/girl twin this year but I have yet to see a twin boy case or

a boy/girl twin.

Has any one seen a boy/girl twin case? Any insight?

thats remarkable, and admirably courageous :-)

 

predicting girl fetuses can bring interesting reactions in various parts

of the world

 

for instance in India - by and large one will have killed the child,

very many are aborted

 

in China - i don't think parents and proletariat will be thrilled to

have another child making machine

 

in Iran - they may not kill off girl babies, but will not be thrilled as

they would for a boy

 

in Yemen - most will say so what's new?

 

in S Afrika - it would not really matter, a lot of Mandela has rubbed

off on people

 

in Iceland - it wouldn't cause a ripple, that's civilization!

 

in Kalahari - you just lost the family as clients
