I am sorry to hear that. I am passing this note to the TCM List for

comment also. I hope that Are Thoresen, or other experienced

colleagues on the List may have some useful suggestions.

Colleagues, if you can help, please email the list and DR.RAMAN

I am no expert on cancer therapy but in my experience, metastasis to

LV (Metal destroying Wood) is very bad news, esp when ascites is

present.

In terminal cases, apart from trying herbs, one can use AP to try to

alleviate the accompanying signs, esp the ascites, nausea and

abdominal discomfort. I would try symptomatic points like

Pain: LI04 + LV03 (or + GB34 or ST36)

General G/I signs, nausea, abdominal discomfort:

PC06, BL21, ST36, CV12

LV Signs: LV14, BL18 or 19, LV03

LI signs: BL25, ST25.

See other symptomatic (Cookpoint) Points at

However, I had poor results with a similar case some years ago whan a

friend developed the same problem. AP helped little if at all in that case.

My friend had an awful few weeks before his death. Tapping fluid from

the abdomen (performed in hospital) helped to ease the discomfort a

little, but only for a short period after each tap.

I pray for your friend. May God give him comfort and courage.

Best regards,
