Dear Attilio,

 

A 3 year boy started vomiting and purging for about 3 days that his mother

phoned me on a Saturday evening, in early February 2005. I asked Mrs C to

see if there are any worms in the bucket. Yes, there were a lot. They are

from the outskirt in a small town. I can think of the herbal cascara plus

capsule which I prescribed to his grandparents.

 

The Cascara consists of cascara 290 mg & senna 40 mg. That night I gave the

dosage of 2 capsules and the following days 1 capsule 3 times daily. I asked

them to purchase Zentel(albendazole-5 Propylthio), a deworming solution that

is said to kill roundworms, whipworms, hookworms & pinworms infection.

 

I have been observing his daily habit on his bowel movement. He constipated

after the 1st bottle of Zental. Rx 1 capsule of Cascara plus on 3x daily.

Dead worms were found from some tiny round worms, about 3 cm, 5 - 7 cm to as

long as 15 cm long at different times. He continued taking Zental on 3 times

a week till now! We managed to take some photos wherever we can. They don't

have a camera when the worms are long. The smell are horrible that I almost

vomit when I took the pictures.

 

I acupunctured the boy on the upper limbs & lower limbs on about 2-4 times

monthly. of late, I acupuncture the boy when he sleeps about 11pm and the

needles were maitained throughout the night. The next morning the needles

pulled out by his mother. Most of the needles were intact except one or two

were loosened.

 

From observation, acupuncture has helped the boy to pass out the stools even

much more. The dead worms curled up like a ball in many of the stools. The

stools were also very loose when no acupuncture was done after 3 - 4 days or

in the following week.
