Guest guest
Curious subject. I'm currently supplimenting my ABT education with an herbal program that teaches Western herbs using TCM theory of assessment. Its a one year part time program that is willing to be expanded to 3 if there's enough students willing to continue with it. In the past they once had enough students willing to expand it 3 years beyond that 3 for acupuncture plus time in student clinic. All total the students had 8 years part time at this school when they sat for the NCCAOM acupuncture exam. 100% of the class passed the exam the first try. These days the school is only offering the 3 year herbal study program at most. They tell me piecing together the acupuncture program and hoping their students would be allowed to take the exam is more than they want to ever deal with again. At this point the most the school can offer us after 3 years of study might be a professional level membership in the American Herbalist Guild. Herbalism isn't legal in this state. There's a hope that the acupuncturists will soon have it legal for them and then we point out that we have a comparable education in herbs.
