Guest guest
Hi All, Is there any classification of 5 E to other points than the transport points? I am not even sure what a Transport point is. It is a little like damp for a 5E person, heard of it but not involved in what we do. I am sure we have the same classification as general TCM points. Source, Junction, Accumulation etc. There is a lot of attention paid the ancient names and the spirit of some points; e.g. Spirit Burial Ground Kd24. It is difficult to think about disease putting both flow together, isn't it? Jean Joaquim. Yes it is a little, but that's the way it is. After years I am so used to thinking of these different flows. It is a lot to do with levels. I am sure others can give you a fuller explanation of this. It is ancient thought. What is II and III? J.R. Worsley apparently took on this numbering as part of one of his linages respect of the Heart as the Supreme Controllers of the bodies kingdom as opposed to the more correct flow starting with the Lungs, as they receive the Heavenly Qi. Not great answers but I hope this helps a little, Gye Five Element Acupuncture Information Site www.5element.com.au
Guest guest
> > Hi All, > there has been some discussion about entry/exit points/treatments. The teaching at Leamington is that the entry/exit points concept operates at the Wei level - a superficial layer of ch'i that governs 'defense' against external threats and probably the most significant entry/exit block problem occurs at conception/governor vessels. Furthrer there was discussion about 5 element signs and whethere they are manifest or not. Again at leamington the teaching is that they are always manifest and if one can't perceive them then ones senses are not sharp enough. The signs being, colour, sound, odour and emotion. In my 23 years of practice the signs ARE always manifest, albeit sometimes confusing and difficult stephen > -- Stephen MacAllan Lic.Ac., B.Ac., M.Ac., M.H., Cert.B.E.R.M., M.H. M.B.Ac.C.,M.A.M.H. Guest guest
An interesting aspect of en ex points is that they are superbly horary in nature. If one transfer pair is blocked this will present invariably with symptoms of Excess and Deficiency on proximal and distal portals. Example: Ex pt - SP 21: Horary time - 11:00 AM En pt - HT 1: Horary time - 11:01 AM If there is a proximal block in SP vessel there will be: a. Excess manifestations proximal to SP 21 b. Excess manifestations at SP 21 c. Deficiency manifestations on HT 1 d. Deficiency manifestations distal to HT 1 What this will show up in the clinic as will be: a. Excess manifestations proximal to SP 21 These will present on side of the chest as ache, sub acute pain, swelling, engorged lymphatic drainage and so on. Considering that the breast is in the neighborhood, this can make for uncomfortable presentations in the short run, and unpleasant ones belatedly. d. Deficiency manifestations distal to HT 1 These will present as Cold and Congealed qi on the HT track from axilla to the Sea on HT 3. It may not show up distal to HT 3 because this is the Sea, and can manage the vessel which follows to the wrist and on hand with pristine qi. There may be a further stricture on HT 7 because it sits on the pisiform, no bone should be done the dishonor of this kind of a name, and the wrist has ligaments and a confluence of very many tendons in sheaths which creak and groan. Which makes one think, Ye Shades of Renaud. The Cold Hand may then be a presentation of a SP 21 - HT 1 block. The horary aspect? These manifestations may aggravate around forenoon, and tend to disappear towards noon when qi shifts into the Holding Bowel of Fire. Also, there will be a disturbed sleep, much dreaming situation at 11 PM to 1 AM, when sleep returns and one is lost in Shehreza'ad Land. b. and c.? These don't matter, especially at 2:50 AM, when most civilized folk are in deep converse with their pillows, or anything else which presents opportune and at hand.
