- TRIBUTE TO MASTER JOU TSUNG HWA: Honoring the Festival's founder on its 30th

- DRUMMING CIRCLE: Join drumming virtuoso Maxwell Kofi Donkor as he leads a high

energy drumming circle to a West African beat. Everyone is encouraged to bring a

set of

- CAPOEIRA PERFORMANCE: Developed by slaves in the jungles of Brazil, capoeira

offers

high energy entertainment with a blend of drums, music and powerful martial

arts, hiding

beneath mesmerizing dance-like movement. Mestre Ombrinho shares capoeira's rich

history and culture as he brings his high energy troupe of performers to ESU for

a night

you'll never forget.

 

- DRUMMING CIRCLE: And just as the capoeira ends, Maxwell Kofi Donkor returns to

help

keep the party going with a drumming circle grand finale! Everyone is encouraged

to bring

thier drums and join in the fun!!

 

- WINE & CHEESE RECEPTION: Sip and nibble, drum and dance. Celebrate the last

night like

CLOSING CEREMONIES FEATURING

THE TRADITIONAL CHINESE LION DANCING OF PEDRO CEPERO-YEE AND HIS TROUPE FROM

YEE'S HUNGA KUNGFU ACADEMY

- FRIENDSHIP PARADE: All attendees meet in front of the cafeteria. Schools may

carry

banners, come in uniform and march as a group. The lion dancers lead the entire

procession to the viewing area.

 

- TRADITIONAL CHINESE LION DANCING: Sifu Pedro Cepero-Yee and his magnificent

lion

dancing troupe from Yee's Hung Ga Kungfu Academy entertains the crowd with a

traditional lion dancing demonstration.

 

- DAOIST ANCESTERAL CEREMONY: Join in on the ceremony offering respects to Zhang

San

Feng by burning a stick of incense in his honor. This is not a religious

ceremony but rather

simply a way for all attendees to join us in wishing " Master Zhang " a happy

birthday and

thanking him for the gift of taijiquan (tai chi chuan). Though there is no

obligation, we

invite all to participate in the ceremony.

 

- MASTER'S FRIENDSHIP DEMONSTRATIONS: The masters offer a sample of their

expertise

and skill in form and combat demonstrations. A rare and fascinating treat for

all.

 

- RAFFLE GIVEAWAYS: Attendees win a range of very cool things at the end of the

the most from your festival experience. An ideal introduction for martial art

school owners

from external styles, looking for more information on tai chi to bring into

(The kids learn with their peers, while mom & dad play with the adults!)

 

 

Kungfu Camp for Kids

with Master Marilyn Cooper: Mom and Dad, give your child a treat with a kungfu

camp

especially for them. Run at the same time as the festival, boys and girls will

have a blast

while learning Chinese Kungfu in a safe and funfilled enviornment with their

peers, while

mom and dad go play with the adults!
