Guest guest
Hello group, How about " slow " electric sensations coursing along a meridian akin to the feeling of when you hit a nerve in say PC6? Peter Deadman stated in a lecture he gave in Copenhagen not many weeks ago that you should obtain De Qi and preferrably have the Qi travel to the place where it is needed. I have tried that in practice and it turns out that Qi actually can be directed (of course it can - Peter Deadman said so ); ie in Zhong Qi Xu (breathlesness, palpitations, etc.) needle Ren 17 (+) and course the Qi to the heart region or in phlegm misting the brain needle st 40 (-) to produce a almost electric jolt going straight to the head with immediate clearing of vision and dizziness, etc, etc. Patients tends to describe this as an electric current, but usually less substantiel and sometimes slower than the " PC6 feeling. " Also this sensation can be furthered or redirected by manipulation tech. This - described by patients as an electric current or jolt - cannot be wrong or can it? Guest guest
These are the parameters of the needle having 'taken': Subjectively: Any kind of sensation to any extent on the channel. Any kind of sensation to any extent on the organ or viscus. Any kind of sensation to any extent anywhere wildly remote. Objectively: The 'standing' needle as one sees it. The 'tight' needle as one feels it. The wet tongue sign. Relaxed triggers. Goal: To cause a differential in qi flow. This can mean a very limited qi sensation, which is enough. Qi does not like to be man- or woman handled. Qi does not like to be rushed. A small nudge is enough. Holmes
Guest guest
Dr. Holmes Kaikobad, Thank you for clarifying... especially the statement " Qi does not like to be man- or woman handled " makes a lot of sense to me! I guess when it comes down to it, it's all about balancing Yin and Yang - as in everything else?!
