How long will it be before they start dictating to us what our protocol has to be, how long we can spend with the patient, and lower fees based on " what " what is reasonable and customary in our area. I have heard that those in Sarasota, FL are some of the highest reimbursed in Florida because they stand together and charge a fair rate for their services. Anyone else have any info to verify that? There are now companies in place that sell insurance for many things including vets and cosmetic surgery etc. Is there any advantage to offering that type of insurance? Or is the real insurance benefit because the employers are providing the insurance? Many of the large corporations are now self insured. FSOMA has the desire to pitch the corp. decision makers to include us in their plans. We have had many discussions of why a one size fits all protocol is hard to study to prove the effectiveness of OM because we are an individual based and not mass based modality. Any suggestions for where we could start to create our own foundation and platform? Should it be an international wide platform or country by country or state by state. How can we get any of us to agree on what our foundation should look like? I'm willing to work for the good of our profession. Sunny

I am the black sheep discounter in Sarasota FL. I give people a break but I make them file their own claim to the insurance company. Mostly, the insurance doesn't cover it, or they don't have insurance. Medicare definitely doesn't cover it. I feel that the people who need the care the most are the poorest of the poor and *can't* pay very much. Regards, Pete
