Pulse in hemapeligia patient

Greetings,

I just saw a patient who suffered hemiplegia as the result of a stroke some 10

years ago. He has regained some use of his leg, but none of his arm. The pulse

on the affected side is deep and weak, the unaffected side is of a normal

strength and depth. My question is, is the deep and weak pulse the physiological

effect of his paralysis, or should I read the pulse as I normally do?

Thanks for your help.

Lori
