With his first acupuncture treatment he improved by 50%. Then each succesive treatment(four more)he was much worse and the acupuncture seemed to aggravate it even more. He gave up, I thought I was a miserable failure. Two years later his son comes in for a treatment and the son told me that he literally had a screw loose. The father had had several severe trauma to the knee and had a plate put in and one of the screws came loose! I guess this qualifies as a zebra. good luck, Jill

Guest guest
Robert, Why take it offline? Others (like me) may want to hear your experiences. ~Jody - Robert Chu Saturday, August 30, 2003 7:47 AM Re: Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy I've had some success. Guest guest
Hello, We have had a couple of patients with RSD at the clinic. One patient acquired the RSD after having a cast on their leg too tight for too long. So lots of symptoms of hypersensitivity to touch, pain with cold, wind. The tx that seem to be the most effective with this person is doing auricular acupuncture with the gold ASP needles. For this particular patient they get great relief from symptoms placing the needles in the cingulate gyrus, thalamus, red nucleus, and phase 3 of the lumbar. Relief lasted anywhere from 7-21 days initially. Lately they seem to be able to go a few months before needing a " tune up. " Hope that helps Steve jason davies <jason wrote: hi has anyone had experience treating RSD - reflex sympathetic dystrophy? i would be interested to know what sort of treatments you've tried and what success you've had..? thanks jason -- Whatever you Wanadoo: http://www.wanadoo.co.uk/time/ This email has been checked for most known viruses - find out more at: http://www.wanadoo.co.uk/help/id/7098.htm
