I routinely needle it to a depth of 1 cun (with 1.5 cun Hwato 30-gauge needle). Most humans that I needled there could take that, but some hypersensitives preferred shallow needling of PC06, or alternative points. I find HT07 easier to use in squeamish people or strong responders.
