Guest guest
Hi, I was wondering if anyone on the list has been using this new machine called Laserneedle. Developed by Prof. Dr. Schikora and Prof. Dr. Litscher. I can't find an English website, but here's a German website, where some studies can be downloaded http://www.laserneedle.at/ger/laserneedle.php?flash=true The interesting thing is that 8 laser needles can be attached to acupoints at the same time. There is a book out on the machine that includes all the research " Lasernadel-Akupunktur”- Wissenschaft und Praxis, written by the aforementioned two professors. I believe Phil presented us with one of their studies some time ago ( Acupuncture using laser needles modulates brain function: first evidence from functional transcranial Doppler sonography and functional magnetic resonance imaging , Lasers Med Sci. 2004;19(1):6-11. Epub 2004 Mar 31 ) This laserneedle machine might be especially useful in treating children. How are the experiences of people treating children here; are they very scared of needles? The laserneedling is non-invasive and thus painless. It might be useful in placebo needling as well. There is a Belgian supplier www.chinanature.be that stocks this machine (without periferals like spectacles, table,..) for almost 10.000 EUR. Not cheap. Any comments? Tom.
