One often sees an overwhelming LU Deficiency in a young man or woman who

has had

no palpable etiology at Metal which could cause this degree of depletion.

 

Either the LU Mu has caused the deltoidal hollow to a drastic degree

creating the Metal

Stoop, or sometimes one sees the LU Shu which has spread over the upper

back till

Thoracic 4 or so till the whole back is leathery, with a muscle wasting,

or lusterless

skin, in aggravated cases even a scoliotic swaying of the upper thoracic

vertebrae.

 

One is left with the thought that this might be congenital, or in

actuality prenatal.

One asks for and gets the predictable history of a heavy smoking mother,

that a father

was smoking does cause as much damage.

 

In such cases I have found that the 5 E grid does not work, because

there is nothing wrong

with the Earth Mother, and Heart Fire does no aggravate.

 

Treating this as a stand alone LU Def helps. Treating this Toyo Hari

fashion, after a

fashion, helps more, but none of this is spectacular.

 

Have tried GuSha with cupping, but not much extrudes. I am of a mind

that this

is a ready made LU anomaly which has transmigrated from the birthing mother

to the child, and lives there, but with little or no reference to an

Elemental

context.

I am just speculating. Providing I understood the

question correctly, is it possible that Meridian can

separately from Organ be deficient (or vise versa),

therefore inconsistency in palpating finding and

symptoms?

That a LU Deficient state can be inherited at birth into an otherwise

healthy system

and stay there as an insert, or an anomaly.

Is this what is referred to as Tortoise Back (Gui Bei)? One sees a

good deal of this in China, many of the people are in their forties,

making me think this might go back to malnutrition induced by the

Great Leap Forward?

I think not, in that case you would find signs of SP Earth Impoverished,

which over a period

would have impacted UB to make it Rise. Ot some such permutation.

 

These have a clear and drastic LU Metal Deficient, and almost nothing

else on any other

Element which might have caused it.
