He’ll be joining a team of Native American health workers in setting up treatment clinics as well as training the local healthcare workers to run the clinics themselves after they leave. I am planning to join him on a separate tsunami relief trip in March (more on that later!). Doc is a renowned doctor of Traditional , which has especially positive results for treating PTSD and other trauma related psychological damage. He has been in practice for over 35 years, and holds the first acupuncture license in Colorado. Apart from excelling as an Oriental Medicine practitioner, Doc is a highly experienced and dedicated medic. He is skilled in setting up and training local people and running clinics in remote regions. For about 12 years he has been running a project in Guatemala that has brought medical attention and self-determination to hundreds (maybe thousands) of people. Doc was the first of the medics at Wounded Knee in 1973 when AIM (American Indian Movement) held off the federal government for 71 days. As a " street medic " for 40 years, he has been involved in providing medical support and trainings for street confrontations/protestors around the United States. Since the first hours of the Tsunami, the Indonesian government has used the devastation to further their interests in controlling Aceh, where there has been a long-running struggle for self determination. This includes deciding which areas, and under what terms, receives aid and medical support. I am sure that Doc would be able to not only figure out what was going on, making use of his experience of similar politics in Central America, but have the courage and integrity to ensure that those most at need of his skills would receive them. This is a call for support for our fellow human beings, in a time of devastation from a natural disaster. If you want to ask me any further questions, please feel free to email me at opalacu. Or you can call me at (720) 404-9926. Om Shanti (peace) - Diana Horowitz, M.S., L.Ac. La principal de estas metas es assistir en el desarollo de la humanidad para llegar al más alto nivel posible.” Search presents - Jib Jab's 'Second Term'
