Attilio,

I'd recommend Earthlite.....and in particular this treatment bench.

http://www.earthlite.com/ellora_salon_table.htm

The deliver really fast and with the dollar being weak against sterling you

will get this couch cheaper than anywhere in the UK and the quality is far

superior.

Kind regards

Derrmot

Yes but with shipping it's going to be much more expensive (they are

handled by moving companies). Earthlite is being sold in the UK as

well. A table with the same name is being sold here

http://www.injuryprevention.org.uk/section.php?xSec=6

However that chair is non-adjustable, and already costs 1135 pounds.

There are some Earthlite tables and other brands available from a shop

in the Netherlands: http://www.johnkeet.nl/

I'm also looking into buying two tables, have not decided yet. Any

more tips?

Tom.

My couch was delivered by FedEx and it cost me around $200 if I remember.

This still made the couch less expensive than buying through a local

distributor.

Hi Dermot,

Many thanks. After looking at the site, i favour the Sedona massage

table with optional tilt as my asthma patients find it difficult to

lie down flat. I'll also get the optional cabinet underneath, very

handy and a great idea to order from the states during this currency

shift.

In addition to your couch (which we Yanks call a table) I very highly recommend

using a specially designed cushion that is called the " Body Cushion " . It is made

to be used in many configurations for different patient positions, but I use it

exclusively for treating face-down. It has very well designed supports for the

sternum and iliac crests and recesses for the abdomen and breasts. Patients

absolutely love it. It allows them to breath very comfortably. The only thing to

consider about this is when you buy a treatment couch, you should get one with a

face opening cut into the couch rather than one with a face plate that attaches

to the end of the couch as the body cushion has its own face plate that should

rest over a face opening cut into the couch. They last a long time - I have had

one over 15 years and only recently replaced the face plate.I found one site

that caries the Body Cushion from a quick Google search, others vendors may sell

it also. http://www.bodyworkcentral.com/bodysupport.html Matt

Just a thought on eclectic tables..... one of my acupuncture colleagues also

does fung shi consultations and she suggested to me that the tables that are

controlled electronically will have a power field around them that may not

be therapeutic.

Best wishes,

They have some really wonderful massage tables at Custom Craftworks –

sturdy, silent and beautiful to look at. Price is also fair. They are

American, but available in Denmark, so I gues they must available in GB

as well?!
