Guest guest
I am writing a thesis about pain, Can someone suggest me a good book about this subject?? (Tom) There's this book: The Treatment of Pain With Chinese Herbs and Acupuncture by Sun Peilin It's not as detailed as I would like to see however. But there's good information in the book. The author is specialized in Bi Syndromes.
Guest guest
Have a look at Manaka's work with Ion Pumping cords. 'Hara Diagnosis, Reflections on the Sea' is probably a good starting point, especially his treatment of burns. Guest guest
Dagmar Riley's book " Treating Pain with Traditional " is very good, from a straight-ahead TCM point of view. For a more eclectic approach, Alon Marcus' book " Musculoskeletal Disorders " is excellent. A lot of good orthopod/osteopathic stuff mixed in with the CM -- very useful in the clinic. I'm also fond of " Rheumatology in " by Guillaume & Chieu, which is a combination of French, Vietnamese and Chinese approaches. rh > > Tom Verhaeghe [verhaeghe_tom@h...] > Thursday, 6 January 2005 10:43 AM > Chinese Medicine > Re: Book on pain > > > > > I am writing a thesis about pain, Can someone suggest me a good book > about this subject?? > > (Tom) There's this book: The Treatment of Pain With Chinese Herbs and > Acupuncture > by Sun Peilin > It's not as detailed as I would like to see however. Guest guest
Consider Musculoskeletal Disorders by Alon Marcus. North Atlantic books isbn 1-55643-282-8. Has acupuncture treatment protocols from different perspectives as well as herbal recommendations based upon differential diagnosis with western speculations. Its more a presentation of ideas and styles of treatment than just a book from one perspective.
